This call solicits essays in the field of the general theme of the conference from young scholars (PhD students, post-docs, adjunct professors, lecturers), provided that they have not held a tenure-track academic position before June 1, 2015 (i.e., for more than 10 years as of June 1, 2025).

Professor Antonello Miranda appointed at Academia Europæa
Academia Europæa has announced the appointment of Antonello Miranda, Full Professor of Comparative Private Law and Director of the Center for Advanced Studies “A.S.Cent.” at the University of Palermo, as Vice Chair of the Law Section (Class A2), with immediate effect.
The appointment reflects Professor Miranda’s scholarly contributions and standing within the international legal research community.
The Academia was established in 1988 and is one of Europe’s leading academic institutions of humanities, literature, law, and science that brings together professors and scholars committed to promoting teaching, education, and research.

In 2026, the Annual Conference on European Tort Law (ACET) sees its 25th anniversary; among the celebrations for this milestone, the conference will host a new session offering emerging scholars and those at the more junior end of the academy (up to approximately six years after completing a doctorate) the opportunity to present their work to the conference. Proposals for papers are therefore invited from such colleagues whose work is comparative in approach and relevant to the conference’s substantive interests in European tort law. Applicants should send a brief CV and an abstract (max. 300 words) outlining their research work and proposed presentation and poster content by 31 October, to: etl@oeaw.ac.at. La call for papers Il diritto in un mondo diviso: letture geo-giuridiche della post-globalizzazione, promossa dalla Società Italiana di Storia Militare, vuole essere un invito a studiosi di varie materie a soffermarsi sui tratti profondi e sulle contraddizioni strutturali del passaggio d’epoca in corso, indagando gli stessi al di là delle contrapposte retoriche e degli steccati disciplinari e assumendo una visione storico-comparativa volta a indagare la genesi, le tendenze di sviluppo e i reciproci punti di attrito delle diverse prospettazioni delle regole che vertono sui rapporti e sugli equilibri tra entità geopolitiche. Le relazioni accettate saranno presentate in una giornata convegnistica presso l’Università Roma Tre, Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza, in data 5 dicembre 2025 e poi, dopo un ulteriore processo di selezione, pubblicate in un numero speciale della Nuova Antologia Militare – NAM nel 2026. The 21st Annual Conference (2025) of the Italian Society of Law and Economics (SIDE) will held on December 11-13, 2025, in the premises of the Faculty of Law of the University of Catania,

The SIDE Conference aims to provide a forum for developing, discussing, and disseminating studies on any topic regarding the Law and Economics (JEL Code: K). In the submission form, you will be asked to indicate whether you are eligible for the 2025 SIDE Award for best young scholar (formerly Brenno Galli Award). The Doctoral Program of Law & Social Change and Roma Tre Law Review are pleased to announce that registration is open for the third edition of the International Doctoral Workshop, which will take place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th December 2025. The event aims to foster the collective discussion and academic exchange of doctoral candidates’ projects with their peers and academic staff. It allows participants to gain valuable feedback and promote their work within the extended academic community. Applicants should be Ph.D. candidates, post-doctoral researchers or young researchers in the Law Department of Roma Tre University or in the Law Department of a partner University or Institution. Applicants from other Universities may be considered depending upon available places and relevance to the research themes of the program. All abstracts should be submitted in English as this will be the conference’s official language. In occasione del 38° incontro della Scuola di diritto naturale che si terrà a Kopaonik (Serbia) dal 13 al 17 dicembre 2025 il premio verrà assegnato al miglior contributo presentato da giovani studiosi sul tema: CRISI DEL DIRITTO. VECCHIE QUESTIONI E NUOVE SFIDE.
Al vincitore del premio, oltre a ricevere una littera honoris, verrà data la possibilità di presentare il proprio lavoro al suddetto 38° incontro della Scuola di diritto naturale di Kopaonik – Slobodan Perović.
A vincitore verrà inoltre assegnata una somma equivalente a 1.000,00 euro messi a disposizione dalla famiglia del fondatore della Scuola, prof. Slobodan Perović. I contributi dovranno pervenire entro il 20 ottobre 2025, alle ore 18.00.

The event aims to bring together leading scholars, practitioners, and stakeholders from various disciplines to explore the complex relationship between cultural heritage and climate change. The conference aims to bring together scholars working on the drivers and outcomes of cultural heritage and climate adaptation. We welcome papers from disciplines such as law, urban planning, urban design, sociology, political science, geography, environmental science, history and economics that clearly articulate research questions, theoretical framework, methodology and preliminary findings.
